Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. The Dallas Police Department has announced the creation of a new Road Rage Task Force. The new task force is a joint effort with local law enforcement agencies. The department announced the task force during a Thursday afternoon news conference. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. William Jordan Carter, former Dallas firefighter, has been given probation after entering into a plea deal. Carter lied about his COVID-19 diagnosis and went to a resort while enjoying paid time off. Investigators report that Carter received $12,548.86 while he was on sick leave. The plea deal lowered his charge to a misdemeanor with 320 days to be served in county jail accompanied by 18 months of probation. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  3. Dallas’ Four Corners Brewing Co. has debuted a new drink. The Ocho Punto Cinco Mal’ Liqr has 8.5 percent ABV and will be served in 19.2-ounce cans year-round. The new drink will be launched at a Selena-themed party on Mar. 26 at the brewery’s Taproom. (CW33 Dallas)
