From those sweet candid moments to making you look good while munching on wedding
food, these photographers will make your wedding mesmerising.

You are all decked up for your wedding and the wedding venue looks like it’s right out of your dreams; now all you need is a person behind the lens to capture the perfect moments.

These photographs will become part of your wedding albums and be posted on Instagram, but will also transport you decades later to one of the most memorable days of your life. We have curated a list of wedding photographers that you can consider for your big day.

Jose Villa

Jose Villa is one of the top wedding photographers named by Martha Stewart Weddings, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. He has been published by many magazines around the world and among his various accolades is photographing the Jonas-Chopra wedding, a magnificent affair over the course of two days.

An identifiable leader in his industry, he mentions on his website that people often ask him how he developed his style, and how he creates images that stand out in today’s highly competitive wedding market. “Well, I am a fine art wedding photographer. My approach applies fine photography to the living, breathing, fast-moving phenomenon that is a wedding,” he says.

He adds that for him, it is all about making something beautiful. His goal is to craft vibrant, energetic, fine art images that are as unique as the people in the photographs.

Sam & Ekta

The husband-wife duo, Sam Walzade and Ekta Rekhi are award-winning wedding photographers. By qualification they are MBA graduates from Mumbai, but by passion are photography lovers who got married and left their corporate careers.

Their clientele includes the likes of Mohit Marwah, Armaan Jain and other celebrities. They were among the World’s 100 top photographers by Fearless Photographers in 2018.

In their website they have written that in early 2015, their friends urged them to take their love for street photography and documentary filmmaking into weddings. “We never had any plans for it as a career, but once we turned our camera towards weddings, we discovered our joy and natural inclination towards wedding stories.”

Their approach is more than just candid wedding photography or cinematic wedding photography–it is more grounded in reality, more about the power of a fleeting moment. “What we do can best be described as real wedding photography,” they add.

Ramit Batra Photography & Films

Ramit Batra is touted as one of the most sought-after wedding photographers. The Delhi-based artist is known for his contemporary, lively and vibrant imagery. With more than 400 weddings across different countries, Batra has many awards to his name.

Coming from an engineering background, he states on his official page that he did not want to fall into the nine to six trap. “I went on to study and make animated films. This landed me in Mumbai, and I got to work with UTV Motion Pictures,” he said.

This initial stint taught him to be independent and take his own decisions while pursuing what he loves–film and photography. “Somewhere between guiding students, taking photo walks and making portraits of friends, he found his calling for wedding photography,” he adds.

Karan Sidhu Photography

Karan Sidhu is a renowned wedding photographer whose documentary-style works lend a refreshing touch to his wedding documentation. He was awarded the prestigious Wedding Photographer of the Year Award 2017-2018 by Canon Better Photography.

His photography career had accidental beginnings as his passion for capturing moments drew him away from his job in the corporate world. When he first began photographing weddings, what fueled him the most was creating and preserving essential moments for others. As he thrives in a high emotional and high energy environment, weddings became the best places for him to showcase his skills.

In his bio, he states that to be a successful photographer, you don’t need gimmicks. “What you need is your heart and mind in the right place. When I walk into a wedding, I walk in with a huge sense of responsibility.” He adds that he is well-aware that he is going to an event where he will be creating history for that family by making pictures that will potentially become heirlooms for generations to come.

House On The Clouds

Having only six years of experience in the industry, House on the Clouds by Bengaluru-based Siddharth Sharma is a relatively new venture. However, it has been able to create a niche for itself because of its modern approach to photography.

What he means by a modern approach towards weddings is that their videos are not based on trends, but on content and visuals. He strongly believes in cinema and wants to present a wedding in a fresh and unique style while keeping in mind the essence of emotions in place.

The photographer does not label his company as a “luxury” brand. Instead, he and his team are a bunch of passionate filmmakers who yearn for great stories. Let them know your story and they will create a custom package for you.
