Bhopal: Wedding organizers in Bhopal are afraid that thieves are allegedly targeting marriage functions. Police registered three cases of thefts at wedding venues in Bhopal in two days.
Koh-e-Fiza: CCTVs footage at a wedding venue in Koh-e-Fiza, shows a minor boy lifting a bag full of valuables and cash. The groom’s mother alleged that the stolen bag had Rs 50,000 in cash and valuables gift envelopes worth Rs 1.2 lakh and gift envelopes with over Rs 1 lakh in cash. The footage shows three suspects — two women and a youth. The footage shows a woman stealing the bag of the groom’s father. Chhola investigation officer SI SK Dwivedi said that complainant Manoj Jain, 58, a resident of Karamveer Nagar in Piplani, is a businessman. Thieves stole the bag during the function of his son Shubham‘s wedding on Sunday. SI Durga Prasad, said that complainant Kaushal Singh, 34, is a resident of Rohit Nagar in Shahpura. He works in the MP Tourism department.
Chhola: Thieves targetted a wedding venue in Lalghati on Saturday and took away a bag containing Rs 50,000 in cash and valuables worth over Rs 1.2 lakh was stolen from the avenue.
Khajuri: Unidentified accused stole a bag carrying cash and four gold coins from a marriage garden in Khajuri locality on Sunday afternoon. Khajuri police acting on the complaint, registered a case and started investigations.
