The makeup artist has shared the ins and outs of the occasion over on her Instagram, with one facet of the wedding, her husband, evidently missing from her snaps.
After receiving backlash for the lack of air-time her new husband has received on her social media, Bonnie has bitten back at naysayers, explaining why she chooses to keep her relationship private.
After posting the final lot of wedding snaps left in her camera roll, Bonnie was met with an onslaught of DM’s questioning why she chooses to conceal her husbands identity in her pictures.
Whether strategically obscured or hidden behind an emoji, Bonnie’s husband and long-term love John Greenhalgh, is rarely seen on her social media.
Bonnie took this opportunity to clear up any confusion, responding to one DM which asked; ‘Beautiful content but so annoying leaving ur husband out of everything..His not a child lol might as well not have him in anything at all..’
The influencer aptly responded to the original message, writing; ‘That’s a very weird message to send. He is entitled to his privacy. Just because my job is online doesn’t mean he has to have his face known. I’m showing him respect to his privacy.’
Bonnie went on to stress the point further with her followers, saying; ‘I know most people who follow me know I keep certain things in my life private, I’ve tried my best to show wedding content while being respectful to the fact my husband doesn’t want to be on social media.’
‘A lot of messages like this and I just want you to know this isn’t like something I think is gas that I don’t show him, it’s respect for him and what we have chosen for us.’
The 29-year-old married her teenage sweetheart in a luxurious ceremony at the exact same spot in which five years ago, her big sister Lottie got married.
The avid influencer recently revealed that it was Lottie’s mother in law who acted as her wedding planner, as she is a local of the area where the ceremony was held.
‘It’s not her job… but she’s just amazing! There’s always a little stress when planning a big event but it’s up to you the energy you give to that stress I believe.’
