Victoria and David Beckham’s son Brooklyn’s fiancée Nicola Peltz modelled a pearl choker in a new photo, similar to the ones the Queen and Sophie Wessex wore on their wedding days.
Brooklyn Beckham and his fiancée Nicola Peltz are thought to be just weeks away from their wedding, and it’s possible the Holidate actress may take inspiration from royalty when it comes to her choice of bridal jewellery.

Nicola was spotted wearing a pearl choker in her latest Instagram photo which bore similarities to ones owned by the Queen, Princess Diana, the Countess of Wessex and more royal ladies. The snap saw Nicola modelling a three-strand pearl necklace fastened at the front with a glittering globe, much like Her Majesty’s four-strand choker with a diamond clasp created by Garrard.

Meanwhile, the monarch was pictured wearing an elegant two-strand pearl design on her wedding day to the Duke of Edinburgh, and Countess Sophie donned black and white pearl jewellery given to her by her husband Prince Edward on their big day.

Nicola was pictured rocking a classic pearl necklace
The late Princess of Wales also altered her seven-strand choker to include her sapphire and diamond cluster given to her as a wedding gift from her grandmother-in-law, the Queen Mother, which she had previously worn as a brooch. Plus, the Duchess of Cornwall was supposedly gifted a stunning pink topaz and five-strand pearl choker by her husband Prince Charles in celebration of their wedding.
The gem is supposedly meant to symbolise purity, beauty and marital harmony. Ancient Greek legend believed that pearls were the tears of the gods and brides wore them so they wouldn’t cry on their wedding day.
The Queen owns several pearl necklaces
For her recent snap, Nicola paired her jewellery with a black square-neck top, a matching cap and oversized sunglasses, but we imagine her pearls would look just as chic paired with her wedding dresses.
It was previously announced that the actress is working with Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli to create her bridal looks, and she has flown to Rome to help design her gowns.

Speaking to CR Fashion Handbook, Nicola opened up about the process: “We’ve been to Rome twice, watching everyone in the atelier, they’re just so talented. The first time I went to Rome, I brought my mom and my brother Brad, who’s actually my man of honour, and then Leslie Fremar who’s one of my best friends in the whole world. It is really a beautiful thing to be a part of and it’s very exciting,” Nicola said.
She added that she never really had a vision of her dream gown before. “I have not thought of a specific dress that I want to get married in. So actually finding what that is with Valentino has been really amazing,” the bride-to-be divulged. “The creative process has been fun, like finding the perfect fit and fabric.”
