For a photographer, it’s never just about clicking a picture. It’s more about expressing, enhancing, and freezing a moment that can be cherished forever.

Stories can be written in words, but when they are written in Pixxel, the magic is simply unparalleled.

Moments are witnessed from multiple different angles, and each picture brings those multitudes of moments into one, binding them together. A hundred different people could look at the same image and be reminded of those many different moments.

Different photographers and styles of photography require different approaches on a wedding day, perhaps the most important in an individual’s life. This whole day is one emotional and a wonderful story, and it becomes our responsibility as photographers to keep it alive through their pictures.

The photographs that will truly matter in years to come are the ones that truly show what occurred on a beautiful day and narrate a story.

Capturing it right

Wedding photography is all about storytelling, about depicting a mountain of emotions right from love, joy, excitement, anxiety, sorrow, and admiration. It makes individuals ponder and gather their feelings. A simple photograph of a father holding his daughter’s hand conveys countless unsaid words. An image of the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day expresses innumerable sentiments.

It is not an easy task to describe these feelings in words, which makes capturing special moments on these treasured days of utmost importance. And eventually, these times often have a long-lasting impact. Even though it makes it extremely challenging to capture, these pictures have helped some people to express their thoughts and how they feel.

Using the props right

The potential of an image lies not only in how it renders actuality but also in how it captivates one’s creative power and engages them at the moment that created the shot.

There are millions of permutations that are involved in the creation of one image, right from the time of day, weather, geographical conditions, culture, flora, and more. Melding these elements are as important to a photographer as the connection between the two families uniting.

Every picture tells a story

As wedding photographers, we are constantly looking out for prospective stories throughout the course of the wedding. There is so much happening on this auspicious day that it’s become essential for us to recognise which stories will make it and which ones might not.

Sometimes, we just have to be spontaneous, go with our gut, and shoot images that later become timelessly cherished for our clients. Motion pictures help us with this, giving us the chance to express what has never been expressed before.

A father showering his daughter with love, a mother welcoming her son-in-law into her family, and a brother who’s — for once — not squabbling with his sister are all once in a lifetime instances. There’s only one moment when the couple’s friends are going crazy at the Haldi ceremony throwing ketchup, eggs, and chutney all over, and stopping that very special moment — just in time — is what the essence of wedding photography is to us.

Timing is the key

Being present at the right place at the right time to capture the right moment is the essence of wedding photography. There are no retakes, no second chances. It’s almost pivotal to be observant of every second.

A bride thinking back to her wedding day when she shared a little laugh with her forever-to-be sitting on their wedding mandap but finding no photos of it after would be our worst nightmare.

We always position ourselves to seize moments that bring back memories, moments that can make you teary-eyed even a decade later, and can exude momentary emotions eons after the wedding ceremony

The battalion of over 300 vendors that are involved in making the magic happen and creating a larger-than-life setup and impact from each wedding are who matter the most to assist us in this challenge because after all, photography simply creates a hypothetical pact between all the users of its medium.

Medium doesn’t matter

Just one simple click from a mobile camera itself unveils a million stories in that one photograph. A photograph is a whole era. Initially, it speaks from a photographer’s perspective. Next, it portrays their learning through their apparatus.

The day, date, weather, political situation, geographical conditions, and culture — millions and millions of permutations and combinations you can find in one image. Similarly, when we talk about wedding photography, this is a collectively-produced outcome that requires not only the latest camera equipment but also equipment of other vendors, such as lighting setup for sangeet and mandap, which should be well suited for photographic conditions.

Team coordination among photographers, as well as coordination with other vendors is necessary and most importantly, creating a strong connection with the families to achieve that one moment that they can always cherish.

Overall, wedding photography is all about the experience either on camera or off the camera.

Weddings are not just a milestone in life anymore. Brides and grooms both anticipate their day of sealing a partnership for years before it happens, and the aspects of those days that can be recorded and sealed in time are treasured now more than ever before.

No one wants to sort through thousands of images to find a few perfect one or even wait for months before flipping through their photographs. The ever-growing culture of younger individuals craving instant footage has drastically shot up the significance of pausing time in the right second with a photograph.

Couples want distinctive yet charming pictures to share and keep, so the latest challenge has been to keep it classy and chic but still jovial and gripping.

To conclude, every couple has their own story of how they first met, how they fell in love, and how they knew that their marriage was the way forward for them. Bringing their tales to life, aiding them to make a brief period of their time together last forever is what we love most.

It’s the most mystical and remarkable part of what we do, and why we do it. Just thinking about being able to freeze a moment in time for eternity and being able to experience the emotions withheld within that moment years later is nothing less than surreal. Cameras have lent us the superpower of time travel.
