HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – Fire at a Butler County wedding venue rekindled twice since flames first broke out Sunday night during one couple’s ceremony

Multiple fire crews initially responded to Hanover Reserve Weddings and Events on Millville-Oxford Road about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

No injuries were reported. A wedding was taking place when a propane fireplace was lit inside the building about 5:30 p.m., according to Hanover Township Fire Chief Phil Clark.

The fire burned through the wood and went up through the chimney to the roof, he said.

Fire crews knocked down that blaze by 9:37 p.m. Sunday, but it rekindled nearly two hours later at 11:33 p.m. according to Butler County dispatchers.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Several fire agencies responded to assist Hanover Township crews including Oxford, Colerain, Liberty and Fairfield townships.
