In the lead up to Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding, Mel B has expressed her fears of attending and being ambushed by ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, the Mirror reports.
A business associate of the former Spice Girl told the Mirror that, “The wedding is meant to be a happy time and reunion of old friends. But Mel knows that there is a dark cloud hanging over the trip in the shape of Stephen.”
The comments come ahead of Beckham’s wedding to Nicola Peltz which is set to take place this April. The couple got engaged in July 2020.

According to reports, Mel B — real name Melanie Brown — fears that her ex-husband will send court process servers to serve civil legal papers if she arrives overseas.
Brown filed for divorce from Belafonte in early 2017 after 10 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
The singer accused her ex-husband of “emotional and physical abuse”, while his lawyer told a court that she had “wiped out all her Spice Girls money — approximately US$50 million (approx A$69 million), if not more.”

The pair have had a publicly tumultuous relationship. Since their marriage in 2007, they have been embroiled in controversy when Mel appeared on The X Factor UK with bruises and scratches on her face and body.
