In an interview with India Today, Mahendra firstly talked about the Haldi ceremony where she shared that only 60-70 people were invited for the Haldi ceremony with close family and friends in attendance. The ceremony went on for 45 mins. For the Haldi, they used shades of yellow, whereas here mehendi was more of peach and red with a touch of yellow, but no whites.
The makers also built a nice mehendi set for the ceremony with corridors decorated with lots of flowers and Rajasthani artefacts like dewan, couches and sofas.
Mahendra opened up about the sangeet ceremony to the news portal. Reportedly, Mouni wanted her Sangeet to be a really premium Bollywood night because her industry friends from Bollywood were present for the function.
Speaking about the menu, the wedding planner said that the menu was customised as per events and the hotel took care of everything. For the sangeet, they served mainly starters, which was followed by a pool party where all grilled food, including turkey, lambs, prawns and coastal food was served. For Sangeet, it was a muti-cuisine menu and a three-tier cake cut by the couple during the sangeet was a surprise for them.
Mahendra added that after the morning wedding, they had the typical Sadhya lunch (a wedding meal that is served during weddings in Kerala), where many varieties of food are served on a banana leaf. And in the evening, for the Bengali wedding, all authentic Bengali food was served, from mutton to fish, chicken, all authentic Bengali food was served.
