After Natalie Lee called off the wedding, she and Shayne Jansen had a conversation outside of the venue that left viewers with even more questions. The cryptic confrontation hinted at a portion of the argument when Natalie questioned if Shayne meant what he said. She asked, “So you’re saying you truly felt like you hated me, and I was the worst thing for you at that moment?” per Netflix. This tiny snippet alone left fans wanting more. What was the argument about? What was said? And what started it?
The reunion didn’t shed light on specifics, but speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Natalie explained what went down, “It wasn’t just one thing. It was an accumulation of a lot of different things. I think the pressure of our wedding also played a part into that, of feeling like we have to make a decision really quickly.” She added, “I think it’s our different approaches to finances, our different approaches to just general lifestyle. And I think just the feeling of making a lot of compromises may have gotten to him. I think he held that in for a bit, and it came out that night.”
On his part, Shayne shared a touching tribute post on Instagram to Natalie where he shared, “As a man watching our story over again I’m remorseful for my actions and all I can do is learn from them to be a better man,” before adding, “I don’t know what’s next for us but I do know that I will never stop loving you.”
