Details of the wedding of Korean star couple Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, who both starred in the hit drama “Crash Landing on You,” have been revealed.
On Feb. 10, Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin announced that they would get married in March in a private ceremony in Seoul.
It was on Jan. 1, 2021 that the two stars admitted their relationship after a Korean media outlet ran an exclusive story with photos of the two on a date.
On Feb. 21, Korean media outlet Woman Chosun published an exclusive story detailing the venue and date of the couple’s upcoming wedding.
According to a close friend of Son Ye-jin’s mother, the news report stated, Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin will get married at the end of March at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul hotel. The report added that the couple will have an outdoor wedding.
The venue at Grand Walkerhill Seoul will be the Aston House, which “emanates the classical atmosphere of a 17th century British royal mansion,” according to the hotel website.
Aston House, with an area of 1,421 sq.m., became the venue for the parties and product launches of luxury brands like Cartier, Bulgari, BMW, Christian Dior and Chanel.
It has an outdoor garden with a view of the Han River and Mount Acha, which “has become the epitome of private estate weddings or premier party place for celebrities.”
The agencies of Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin earlier announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple will have a private ceremony with only the families and friends in attendance.
Aston House was the venue for the wedding of Korean celebrity couples like Bae Yong-joon and Park Soo-jin, Ji Sung and Lee Bo-young, and Sean and Jung Hye-young.
About the #BinJin couple’s wedding at the end of March, a representative of Hyun Bin’s agency, Vast Entertainment, told Woman Chosun, “We do not know anything about the wedding,” and “we cannot confirm the wedding because it will be held privately.”
An SBS News report stated that Aston House costs about 100 million won ($84,000) and has a maximum capacity of 200 guests.
Grand Walkerhill Seoul commented that “we cannot reveal personal information of our customers, so we are unable to confirm whether Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin have booked their wedding with us.”
