Awkward if your sister takes offence, but also you’re the bride you’re allowed to do what you like, right?
Being a bride is a dream come true for many. A dream that sometimes means they believe that everything they say goes.
Enter the term, ‘Bridezilla’. A term that is not exactly desirable but refers to a bride that becomes pedantic about every little detail of her wedding.
A bride that took to Reddit to ask a pressing question, and ultimately open herself up for scrutiny, asked Redditors whether she was being unreasonable.
She shared that her sister had recently gotten a tattoo of big cherries on her arm.
Considering it was her wedding, she imagined the aesthetics to look a certain way and she wanted to remember the day in her version of synchronicity.
She wanted her sister to cover her tattoo.
“My sister just got a tattoo of big *ss cherries on her arm and refusing to wear a dress with sleeves now. How do I politely say either she wears a dress with sleeves, uses make up to cover it up, or I’ll have to find someone to take her place in the bridal party because I don’t want these in the pictures, I’m paying over $3k for.” (MSN)
$3,000 is around R53,000 for the wedding photography, so we can understand her dilemma.
But asking Redditors for their honesty is not something that is for the fainthearted.
You have to be open to hearing what you may not want to hear. This was certainly the case for this bride.
