Rahul Kataria, a resident of Kothibagh, Udaipur, attracted eyeballs after he arrived in an ambulance with injuries at his own wedding venue. This unique entry was obviously not a choice, but a result of an unfortunate accident that the bridegroom had suffered a few days ago.
Rahul was slated to get married at the 25th mass wedding organised by the Sindhi society in Udaipur city. However, five days before the wedding, he met with an accident, causing a fracture in his left leg, said head of Sindhi society, Harish Rajani.
Rahul had an operation in Ahmedabad only on Friday and an irod rod was installed in his leg through surgery.

Adamant to tie the knot on the fixed date, Rahul reached the wedding venue in an ambulance and was taken to Mandap on a stretcher. Despite having a leg fracture, he took rounds (pheras) with the bride on a stretcher and performed the marriage ceremony.
The groom, who reached the pavilion on a stretcher, was encouraged by his family, friends and the bride’s side, who also helped him to get ready for his marriage in an injured state.
Mass wedding
In the mass marriage ceremony of Sindhi society, a total of six couples were registered in this program, but before marriage, two grooms met with an accident. While Rahul managed to reach the wedding venue in an ambulance, the other could not attend the mass wedding ceremony.
