As you can imagine, helping my friend Kayleigh get her bar in order for the rush of St. Patrick’s Day weekend patrons was a daunting task. Her place is an up and coming brewpub, where the regulars are friendly and the bartenders are great multi-taskers who make newcomers feel welcome. Kayleigh, our friend Cara, and myself were the last three standing after getting things in order. After we had a toast to new beginnings, the conversation took on a life of its own, as it usually does when the three of us get together. Somehow, this night the topic became favorite television shows of all time.

I had never discussed this with them, so they were surprised to find out that I was just as big a fan of The Office as they were. The conversation then transitioned to favorite episode of the show. Kayleigh and Cara both chose Jim and Pam’s wedding. From there the conversation somehow morphed into wedding movies. As you can see, when the three of us get together there’s no end in sight to where a conversation can go.

Why The Best Man is the most underrated wedding movie of all time

As I listened to my friends reel off the names of wedding classics like The Wedding Planner, Father of the Bride and My Best Friend’s Wedding, one film stood out above all others for me. 1999’s The Best Man was a great film centered around a wedding and the events leading up to the big day. However, it often goes unmentioned when discussions about great wedding movies arise. Let’s take a closer look at why The Best Man is the most underrated wedding movie of all time.
