Cake Mail, an Australian-based delivery service has created the ultimate sweet treat with hot cross buns, Nutella and Caramilk chocolate. 

To make the simple dessert first slice your favourite flavour of hot cross buns in half and spread a generous layer of Nutella to one half.

Next add a block of Caramilk Cadbury chocolate on top of the Nutella layer and make sure to cover the entire space.

Then add more Nutella to the top sliced buns and place them onto the layer of Caramilk chocolate and into a sandwich press. 

Close the lid on the sandwich press and allow the hot cross buns to cook and get crispy, then remove them from the press.

‘It is the most incredible thing I’ve probably ever eaten in my whole life,’ the Cake Mail creator said.

Cake Mail posted the recipe video to Instagram and received thousands of likes and hundreds of comments about their mouthwatering Easter treat.

How to make Cake Mail’s hot cross bun dessert:  

Ingredients: 

Caramilk Cadbury chocolate

Method: 

  1. Slice hot cross buns in half and spread a generous layer of Nutella to one half. 
  2. Add a block of Caramilk Cadbury chocolate on top of the Nutella layer and make sure to cover the entire space.
  3. Spread more Nutella to the top sliced buns and place them onto the layer of Caramilk chocolate and into a sandwich press.
  4. Close the lid on the sandwich press and allow the hot cross buns to cook and get crispy.
  5. Remove the buns from the press and slice them up and let the Nutella and Caramilk ooze out to enjoy.

Founder, Jonathan Massaad, was 21 when he built his million-dollar dessert business by sharing photos of his creations and now makes more than 500 cakes a week.

The Sydney baker has 135,000 fans following his Cake Mail account, which sells unique sweets for less than $68 that can be shipped on the same day they are ordered.

He made an Instagram account at 17 to showcase his work to friends and family but it wasn’t long before strangers were putting in requests for Kit-Kat, Kinder Surprise and even alcohol-themed treats.

‘When starting this company I understood that there was great potential but Instagram gave us the opportunity to promote and connect with consumers in a way that traditional marketing could never allow,’ he told FEMAIL.

‘We see most of our customers solely purchasing our cakes just so they can post a photo of it on social media.’

The likes of singer Samantha Jade, Mary Mehajer, PR maven Roxy Jacenko and wedding planner Dianne Khoury are all  counted as fans and the business continues to go from strength to strength.
