When Samantha Ruth Prabhu got emotional while reciting wedding vows for Naga Chaitanya: ‘One day you will be a perfect…’

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya remained in the headlines after they announced their split in October 2021, a few days before their fourth wedding anniversary. The two celebs had issued a statement on social media to share the news of their separation. Samantha and Chay’s decision to part ways had set several tongues wagging as they were considered one of the most loved couples in tinsel town.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya, who first worked together in the Telugu romantic drama Ye Maaya Chesave, got hitched according to Hindu and Christian rituals in Goa. They opted for an intimate ceremony, which was attended by family members and close friends.

Samantha had turned emotional while reciting her wedding vows during her white wedding. The talented actress had said that she knew Chay would make a ‘perfect father’ to their beautiful child.

“Like how all arguments will be resolved without a change of tone and how I’m never allowed to get away with anything but crying. But because of you I can feel myself slowly and surely becoming what I have always dreamt of being. You are the greatest man I have ever known and I know that one day you will be a perfect father to our beautiful child. I’ll choose you in a hundred lives and hundred worlds and in any reality. I choose you,” Samantha had said while breaking down into tears.

The former couple often used to talk about each other during their interviews to media houses while they were together. Naga Chaitanya, while talking to Chinmayi Sripaada on her show Famously Filmfare, had opened up about his wedding vows.

The Premam actor had revealed that he tried to put down all his memories with Samantha while penning the vows. “With all my heart. Honestly, in 2-3 days, I tried to put down all the memories I had with her in 20-30 pages and edited it out. I tried to put down all the memories I had with her and the memories I want for her. So, it was simple,” he was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha had requested the media and fans to respect their decision and provide them privacy after ending their marriage. Samantha had sparked rumours of their reunion when she removed the statement from her official Instagram handle.
