Newcomer Guerdy Abraira believes that Alexia Echevarria’s storylines carried The Real Housewives of Miami season 4 all on their own in terms of drama.

The Real Housewives of Miami season 4 just ended and newcomer Guerdy Abraira agrees with fans that Alexia Echevarria carried the show all by herself with her own storylines. Alexia first appeared on RHOM season 1, which premiered in 2011. Following RHOM season 3, the show went off the air for eight years. Season 4 was picked up by Peacock and brought back familiar faces such as Alexia, Larsa Pippen, and Lisa Hochstein. Marysol Patton and Adriana de Moura came back to RHOM as a “friend” role. Guerdy, along with Julia Lemigova and Kiki Barth was introduced to fans as new housewives.

RHOM fans could not stop talking about the drama surrounding Alexia during season 4. She revealed a shocking discovery that her late husband Herman Echevarria was bisexual and had a relationship with a man. Alexia and Herman tied the knot in 2004 and were still married at the time of his death. In turn, the Venue Magazine moguls turned out to be separated and living apart after 15 years of marriage. In 2016, Herman was found dead at a hotel at the age of 61 from a heart attack. Alexia shared on RHOM season 4 that Herman’s lover was willing to talk to her but didn’t want to be filmed. They spoke off-camera for hours and Alexia finally got the answers she was looking for.

Fans felt that Alexia’s storyline on RHOM season 4 was something out of a soap opera. Guerdy told David Yontef in a Behind the Velvet Rope podcast that Alexia’s storylines were “incomparable.” Not only did she out her late husband Herman as bisexual, but she also speculated that he may have died while having sex with his lover at the hotel. Alexia was also preparing for her wedding in RHOM season 4, but the contentious relationship between her son Peter Rosello and her now-husband Todd Nepola added stress to her wedding planning. Todd got into a heated argument with Peter about his excessive partying with his younger brother Frankie Rosella, who had suffered a traumatic brain injury after being in a car accident. Alexia had to intervene and felt caught in the middle between her new husband and her son.

Guerdy, who was Alexia’s wedding planner, called that time “traumatic.” Alexia’s mother also sadly passed away due to COVID-19 the day when she and Todd were supposed to get married. Thus, they had to postpone the event. Alexia shared how the happiest day of her life turned out to be the saddest. She described her mother as “the kind of woman that was respected, admired, inspirational and so ahead of her times.” Alexia went on to say how her mother was a political refugee from Cuba who raised three children on her own and admired her for her wisdom and strength. Four months after she passed away, Alexia and Todd finally got married in December 2021 in a small beachfront ceremony in St. Barts.

Guerdy shared how Alexia brought all the drama in RHOM season 4. “I could have tap-danced my way through that season and done cartwheels and everything like that, it wouldn’t matter because that was real life. That’s like real s***. And so yes, season 4, Alexia one-hundred percent, I would say her storyline is incomparable.” Guerdy went on to say that Alexa’s season is something to be proud of and that even though sad things were happening, the audience “liked the entertainment aspect.” As for Guerdy, she doesn’t want her storyline to revolve around just her party planning business. She teased that if she were to return for The Real Housewives of Miami season 5, she has much more to offer of her personal life that she would love to share with fans.
