Yadadri-Bhongir: The celestial wedding of Sri Yadadri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple was performed in Balalayam on Friday amid rituals as a part of annual brahmostavams. Yadadri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple (Balalayam) was decked up with colorful flowers and lights for the auspicious occasion.
The temple priests performed the celestial wedding of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy at Balalyam on abhijith lagna muhurtham. Prior to the celestial wedding, the presiding deity of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy was brought to the place of the event in a process on Gaja Vahana seva. Earlier, Endowments Minister A Indra Karan Reddy presented silk cloths and muthyala thalambrau to the temple authorities on behalf of the state government. Special Secretary in CMO Bhupal Reddy, Secretary to Legislative Assembly affairs Narsinga Rao, district Collector Pamela sathpathi and Alair MLA Gongidi Sunitha were also attended the programme.
The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was attend the ceremony, but had to cancel his visit as he was indisposed.
In the morning, TTD Deputy EO Ramesh babu and TTD chairman’s wife Swarna Latha Reddy presented a set of silk cloths for celestial wedding of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple during brahmotsavams. g of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy was performed in the Balalayam at the hill shrine. Yadadri temple EO N Geetha received the silk cloths from them at Balalayam. It has been a tradition that TTD would send a set of silk cloths every year.
