Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) pays Leyla Cavanagh (Roxy Shahidi) a visit in the hospital next week in Emmerdale, intent on apologising to her for what transpired with Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu).
Leyla, as fans know, found herself on the receiving end of a bullet, after she got caught up in unhinged Meena’s revenge plot, which saw the killer try to claim the lives of bride and groom Dawn and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).
Meena, clocking Leyla approaching in her car, shot repeatedly at the wedding planner, with the final bullet wounding her.
Despite all the odds, however, Leyla survived, after Billy came to her aid and called the ambulance in the nick of time.
Next week, Dawn stops by the hospital to visit Leyla.
She makes it clear that she’s sorry for what happened, accepting responsibility for Meena’s actions.
Leyla, however, refuses to accept her apology, reminding Dawn that she has nothing to be sorry for.
‘I’m not having that!’, she exclaims. ‘You’ve been through enough without blaming yourself for this!
‘Meena is in prison and she is going to rot! We’re out here. And we’re alive!’
Dawn is taken aback by Leyla’s kindness.
Leyla reveals she’s excited to see her wedding pictures, leaving Dawn feeling guilty for not bringing them along.
The conversation soon moves to Liam (Jonny McPherson), however, with Leyla revealing that she hasn’t had a reply to the text messages she’d sent him. This leaves her noticeably concerned.
Just where is Liam? Is he okay?
