Jennifer Lopez is an icon in any number of different arenas. She is, of course, the well-regarded star of such films as Anaconda, The Wedding Planner, and The Cell. She is a multi-platinum recording artist with numerous Billboard-charting albums and the ability to rhyme “Ibiza to Africa.” She’s starred in television programs, been a professional dancer, and an international sex symbol. The lattermost status has never been in doubt, and thanks to social media, likely never will be. On her Instagram account, Lopez recently posted a four-part photoshoot that ranges from a sultry lingerie shot to a bookish-librarian look. It is pretty amazing from beginning to end. Check it out:
The photoshoot in question is tagged with the official handle of luxury fashion house Dulce & Gabbana, so it is safe to assume Jennifer Lopez is in partnership with them on this one. In the first picture, Lopez is breathtakingly tried in a bra and underwear lingerie set of black lace. She also has a thick-looking black cover-up draped around her arms and hips, which honestly does very little to cover up. She is also festooned in Dolce & Gabbana jewelry, with a long pearl and gold necklace reaching to her waist and a D&G choker around her neck. Atop it all, Lopez is wearing a fashionably-angular pair of black sunglasses and her currently dark blonde hair is artfully tousled around her right shoulder. Whew. It’s a lot.
The next slide is a close-up of Jennifer Lopez looking seductively at the camera with an open mouth and upraised arms. She is now wearing a thick-framed pair of eyeglasses, with silver earrings and her hair up. Her (unfortunately) mostly-unseen outfit seems to have neck halter-top straps and black lace around the bodice. The third picture has the star of Maid in Manhattan far more clothed, in a severely thrilling black business suit, cat-eye style glasses, and Dolce & Gabbana earrings as she leans against the shoulder of a very Don Draper-looking male model. And finally, the fourth, if you haven’t had a heart attack by now, is the pair in matching futuristic-looking sunglasses and Lopez in a simultaneously lacy and revealing back bodysuit. All in all, it is a pretty amazing photoshoot. Not a surprise there, given that it is Lopez, but her Instagram is also full of moments that are a little less sultry, like this picture of her celebrating International Women’s Day:

Jennifer Lopez, as always, has been keeping very busy of late. The aforementioned romantic comedy with Owen Wilson was well-received and a welcome return of one of the genre’s finest stars. The official soundtrack album has also been hitting the charts. And just last year, Lopez signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to produce a number of different shows and films, a reminder of the actor/singer/dancer’s legendary acumen and ambition. If nothing else, we are happy just if she keeps that Instagram account busy with photoshoots like this one.
