A QUARTET of local businesses have reason to celebrate after a big day at the Scottish Wedding Awards.
Among the winners at the annual event in Glasgow were:
Photographer of the year, north: Captivating Photography
Wedding boutique of the year, north: La-Di-Da Fashion
Freelance wedding hair/make-up specialist of the year, north: Lisa Hart MUA
Wedding venue of the year, north: Achnagairn Castle.

“I’m so grateful to all the couples who voted for me,” she said. “It really means so much that all the hard work I have put into keeping my business going through the pandemic got recognised at such a prestigious event.
“Thank you to all my clients, suppliers and fellow vendors for your support over the last year.”
Marina Huggett, chairwoman at Achnagairn, was also pleased: “We are so thrilled that the hard work and dedication of our wonderful team has been recognised.
“The staffing crisis within the hospitality industry has meant that our team have had to be more flexible and work harder than ever before.
“We are so proud of them and everything they have achieved.”
Make-up and hair specialist Lisa Hart said: “After what has been a very difficult couple of years for the wedding industry, it was an amazing feeling to have my business recognised at The Scottish Wedding Awards.
“I’m very grateful to all my brides who voted for me, and for the overwhelming support and kindness they’ve shown me over these last couple of years in particular.”
La-Di-Da Fashion is a boutique in Inverness which sells quality and unique wedding guest outfits.
Owner Marian Grant said: “Winning is a fantastic achievement for La-Di-Da-Fashion and is a tremendous boost to our business after weathering the storm of the pandemic.”
